The place for a blow out meal. Cooking is classic and the chef doesn’t serve food with tweezers. No edible flowers here. Great wine list and no outrageous mark ups: rare in London. Can be chilly by windows, and ask to be upstairs, although basement not too bad. Good value.

Back here after a 30 year gap and it's just as wonderful as ever. Great food, reasonably priced Pol Roger and Saint-Veran wine. David (maitre d') helped us celebrate our 3rd anniversary in style. Thank you x

It is an absolute gem of a place for a seriously relaxed but classy dining experience. The service, the wine, the atmosphere was all on par. The hake was perfectly cooked and the choux bun dessert delicious. The bread also was ridiculously moorish with delicious olives.

We walked in to this restaurant purely just from walking by and we were super hungry. Little did we know how INCREDIBLE the food would be! One of the best lunches I’ve ever had—the king crab salad was SO fresh and the beetroot soup was super flavorful. Our main entree was the halibut and that did take a little long to come out, but it was worth the wait because it was the most silky, smooth baked fish ever. We wanted dessert but were too full! Highly recommend this restaurant, small and lovely.

Wonderful dinner, thoughtful dishes. Sourdough is aromatic, and butter is so delicious that I asked for its origin :3 First time seeing this horizontal cut of ox tongue. Tender with a slight crisp. The pigeon is also nice and slightly smoky. The special beef shin is tender, flavorful, with a prominent yet mellow wine flavor. The celeriac tastes good as well. Lamb spine chop is also perfectly cooked. Also appreciated the mixed vegetable. Unlike the greasy and heavy veggie dishes in other places, this one is healthy and doesn’t overpower the mains. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to trying other dishes (and desserts!).

I came here for my birthday, and it was a lovely experience! This place is small and charming, with a cute and cozy atmosphere. It’s best to book about a month in advance as it tends to get fully booked quickly. The staff were friendly, and the wine selection was excellent. We were happy with our food overall—the lamb main was especially delicious. However, the pork chop was a bit too tough for my taste. The prices are very affordable for the quality, and I’d definitely come back again. A great spot for a special occasion!
